We're seeking a Finance Business Partner who goes beyond the numbers—someone who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment and brings deep expertise in stakeholder engagement and financial modelling.
As part of our high-performing Financial Planning and Reporting team, you'll work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to drive strategic decision-making and shape services that benefit our community.
What you'll do:
* Build strong, trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders across the Council.
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes with precision and insight.
* Deliver high-quality financial modelling to support business cases and strategic initiatives.
* Partner with operational teams to drive financial performance and accountability.
* Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that support a sustainable and liveable city.
We're looking for someone with:
* CPA, CA or equivalent tertiary qualifications.
* Extensive experience in business partnering across multiple stakeholders and departments.
* Advanced financial modelling skills, including scenario analysis and cost-benefit evaluation.
* Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and persuasively.
* A strategic mindset and a passion for using finance to enable better outcomes for the community.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
