Our vacancy is for an experienced accountant seeking new challenges in the provision of high quality financial reporting, taxation and business advisory services to a diversified client base. This role could provide a pathway to becoming a senior accountant or manager should that be your preference. Progression to developing other team members will be available in a role which would change over time. 
The client base is primarily small to medium family owned businesses as well as property and other investors. We prepare financial reports, income tax returns and assist clients with tax liabilities, while supporting their accounting information systems. We have a growing SMSF superannuation practice and work with solicitors in litigation support services involving valuation, investigation and assessment of economic losses. The practice is entirely cloud based with a variety of leading-edge systems. 
The opportunity exists to lead the superannuation practice and develop a recognised speciality, providing additional value to clients where we provide taxation and accounting services. There is also potential to contribute to the foremost forensic accounting practice in the state, with extensive interstate connections. The team environment is friendly, supportive and learning focused, and all team members contribute to client success. 
Rands Advisory Group has over twenty years of experience as a full member firm of a large Australian accounting group. We support flexible work arrangements for eligible staff after a qualifying period. 
CA or CPA support is provided, along with active ongoing training and other benefits. 
The position would best suit candidates with more than two years of experience in the business services division of an Australian accounting firm.

Responsibilities 
- Provide high quality financial reporting and taxation services to a diversified client base. 
- Deliver business advisory services to clients and contribute to strategic decisions. 
- Assist in the development and coaching of junior team members as part of progression toward senior roles. 
- Support clients with accounting information systems and familiarity with cloud-based platforms, particularly Xero. 
- Contribute to the SMSF superannuation practice and forensic accounting initiatives where applicable. 
Qualifications 
- More than two years of experience in the business services division of an Australian accounting firm. 
- CA or CPA designation or active pathway toward such qualifications. 
- Familiarity with computerised accounting systems; Xero is highly desirable.
