As a Lifestyle Team Leader at our colonial architectural town community, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. You will lead a dedicated team in the development and delivery of personalized leisure and lifestyle programs that align with each resident's care plan. Your leadership will ensure that our activities promote health, happiness, and overall well-being.
* We are seeking an experienced leader to develop and manage a monthly calendar of group activities tailored to residents' needs and preferences.
* The ideal candidate will identify and nurture residents' individual talents, hobbies, and lifestyle preferences.
* You will oversee the implementation of leisure and lifestyle activities, ensuring they meet the mental, physical, spiritual, psychological, and emotional needs of residents.
* Collaboration with the care team is essential to support residents' care plans and report any changes in resident care to the registered nurse in charge.
* Fostering an inclusive and flexible approach to service provision, ensuring resident safety and wishes are prioritized.
* You will support and mentor new Lifestyle Officers, promoting a collaborative and supportive team environment.
* Ensuring all activities comply with the Aged Care Quality Standards and organizational policies is crucial.
Key Responsibilities
This role requires strong leadership and team management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, creativity, and flexibility in designing and implementing activities. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to resident-centred care and enhancing quality of life. Additionally, you will be able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications and Experience
We require a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Lifestyle Officer in an aged care setting. A Certificate III or IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or similar) is desirable. Current NDIS Worker Check (or willing to obtain) is also necessary. You must possess strong leadership and team management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and creativity in designing and implementing activities.
