Shop for Shops is Australia's leading specialist in retail display and shop-fitting solutions. We're looking for a Multimedia Designer to create visually engaging, brand-consistent digital assets that bring our products and campaigns to life across all channels — website, EDMs, social media, and paid ads.
You'll work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to design static and animated materials that strengthen our brand presence, drive engagement, and support product sales. This is a hands-on creative role blending graphic design, motion design, and digital marketing execution.
Key Responsibilities
Graphic Design
* Design visual assets for digital campaigns — including website hero banners, EDM tiles, social graphics, and promotional ads.
* Develop templates and layouts for consistent branding across campaigns and product categories.
* Create design variations optimised for web, mobile, and email platforms.
* Produce occasional print materials such as showroom signage, posters, and brochures.
* Ensure all visuals meet brand guidelines and file specifications.
Motion Design & Animation
* Create short, eye-catching animations, GIFs, and looping videos for digital channels.
* Design animated overlays and text for product reels, hero banners, or explainer snippets.
* Combine product photography and video footage (from the Visual Content Producer) with animated elements for polished campaign assets.
* Produce motion graphics for EDM headers, social ads, and product highlights.
* Optimise animations for file size, playback smoothness, and platform requirements.
Collaboration & Workflow
* Maintain a well-organised library of templates, brand files, and reusable design components.
* Work with the Digital Marketing Manager to interpret briefs and deliver assets aligned with campaign objectives.
* Collaborate with the Visual Content Producer to integrate new photo and video assets into designs.
* Contribute creative ideas for presenting products visually across digital touchpoints.
Skills and Experience
Required:
* 3–5 years' experience as a Multimedia Designer, Marketing Designer, or Digital Designer.
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite — Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and InDesign.
* Strong understanding of layout, typography, colour, and composition for both static and motion graphics.
* Experience designing for digital platforms — EDMs, social media, web banners, and paid ads.
* Ability to animate text, graphics, and simple transitions for Reels, EDMs, and short videos.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet multiple project deadlines.
Desirable
* Experience with Mailchimp, BigCommerce, or other digital content platforms.
* Knowledge of Canva or Figma for quick turnarounds and collaboration.
* Basic understanding of digital marketing metrics (CTR, engagement, conversions).
* Exposure to retail, e-commerce, or product-based industries.
