About the role
Permanent long-term career opportunity on a major defense shipbuilding program. Working in the most advanced shipyard in the world building complex Anti-Submarine Warfare frigates.
Do you want to work in the most advanced shipyard in the world building the most complex Anti-Submarine Warfare Frigate? If so, we have multiple opportunities for Boilermakers within the Production Team based in Osborne, SA.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake tasks and duties as directed by Production Supervision and/or Trades Trainer within bounds of current competence.
* Attend and complete relevant on‑the‑job training as required.
* Properly maintain materials, tools and equipment.
* Strive to continuously improve teamwork, processes and effectiveness in the work area.
* Adhere to the BAE Maritime Australia policies and management practices.
About You
* Experience fabrication with MIG or Flux Core welding.
* Ability to read drawings.
* Strong safety focus and commitment to enhancing the site safety environment.
* Strong time keeping abilities.
* Excellent communication.
Clearances
As a Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Identity Card (NSSIC) is required for this role, applicants must have the right to work in Australia and be eligible to obtain and maintain the appropriate clearances including NSSIC and ITAR.
Applicants relocating from New Zealand must hold New Zealand citizenship to be eligible.

Relocation Assistance
* Flight to Adelaide for successful candidate.
* Temporary accommodation up to 4 weeks.
* 'Homesearch' program – virtual assistance to select a suburb and assist with rental application.
* $7,500 AUD (before tax) – paid in first pay period post commencement.
* 2 days paid relocation leave within first 4 weeks.
Compensation
Commencement rate – $49.45 AUD.
* 3 months post commencement – $51.55 AUD.
* 9 months post commencement – $53.66 AUD.
* Annual 5% rate increases in July 2026, July 2027 & July 2028.
* Rate increases are subject to capability and performance reviews.
