**Job Description**:
This is an entry level role that provides opportunities for career advancement within SGS into roles with greater responsibilities, types of activities beyond what is listed below.
- Painting and finishing of Drilling Tools to meet internal and specific standards
- Assembly of components for drilling tools
- Forklift driving when required
- Operation of saws (wood & metal), power drills, grinders, and other custom hand tools
- Stock control, reporting and assembly checklists
- Deliveries and pick ups
- Packaging and marking of products & containers for transport
- Housekeeping of worksite and removal of debris from around machinery
- Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labour tasks (e.g. stacking goods and gathering materials)
- Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
- Communication and collaboration with our maintenance, yard, welding and quality teams Participate in stocktake activities as and when required by plant manager
**Qualifications**:
- Must possess a current and valid driver's licence, valid forklift licence would be an asset.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable
- Use of hand tools and mechanical aptitude is desirable.
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safety rules
- Physical fitness appropriate to the role.
