As a Compliance Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing product lines to ensure regulatory compliance and coordinating legislative changes within the business.
Job Description
This role is accountable for analysing all product lines managed by the Product Division to conform to legislative and regulatory requirements. You will assist in implementing changes mandated by regulatory or industry bodies and coordinate the Division's responses to changes in legislation or regulation.
You will monitor current and future regulatory changes to the product and work closely with SMEs within the Product Division, project delivery teams. Your ongoing support to other Divisions will help develop and implement strategies and solutions that meet the current and future needs of the business.
Key Accountabilities
* Monitoring and analysing Australian insurance legislative and regulatory trends.
* Providing timeline updates for required implementation of improvements.
* Coordinating and working with SMEs to complete work pertaining to regulatory improvements.
* Helping to build a strong risk and data-driven culture.
* Assisting with compilation of management reporting packs and Board papers to ensure consistency across Product streams.
Additionally, you will work with SMEs and business analysts to compile requirements for compliance-related changes, monitor and report on project progress, and assist in product and documentation development and assessment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* 3+ years of General Insurance product/portfolio management, underwriting and/or claim experience; experience with Motor, Travel or Domestic property insurance products highly regarded.
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (preferred), e.g. business administration, economics, commerce, finance, mathematics, etc. and/or professional qualification (e.g. ANZIIF) preferred.
* Experience with compliance and regulatory matters.
* In-depth knowledge and understanding of relevant regulatory regimes, compliance and legislation covering insurance, including regulatory change.
* Well-developed critical thinking skills with the ability to independently solve problems with data.
* Strong relationship and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organisation across a wide variety of stakeholders.
