Your duties as an Aged Care Worker include, but are not limited to: Assisting patients or residents with personal care tasks, tailored to individual needs in both hospital and residential aged care environments. Monitoring and accurately reporting changes in patients’ health, behaviour, or mobility to nursing staff. Performing basic clinical duties like taking and recording vital signs, blood glucose levels, and assisting with patient observations under supervision. Maintaining a safe and clean environment by supporting infection control measures, restocking supplies, and tidying areas in line with facility standards. Provide emotional support and companionship, helping to reduce anxiety and promote comfort for patients recovering in hospital or residents in long-term care.
