Leader, Data Management Capabilities
We are looking for an experienced Leader - Data Management Capabilities, who will be a passionate advocate for data, and bring the data management framework to life for our organisation, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of our data assets, and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
**About the role**:
The Leader - Data Management Capabilities will play a key cultural transformation role by developing and embedding the data management framework and associated policies and procedures at People First Bank.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the Senior Leader, Data Strategy & Capabilities to define the overarching data governance strategy.
- Refine and embed the data management framework for the organisation supported by policies and procedures that focus on the management of data as a strategic asset, and in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Define and maintain data standards to ensure that data is accurate, consistent, and trustworthy.
- Collaborate with technology and business teams to ensure that data management and governance activities are integrated into the bank's overall strategy.
- Develop and deliver training and awareness programs to build data literacy and embed understanding of data management accountabilities and practices across the organisation.
**About you**:
By establishing relationships across the business with executives, senior stakeholders and other employees, you will adapt your communication style to influence these stakeholders to uplift data literacy and deliver demonstrated progress towards our team and organisational objectives, encompassing value, risk and compliance
**Knowledge & Experience**
- Extensive experience in data management and governance or related field, and in a leadership role.
- Familiarity of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to data management in the financial services industry, such as the APPs, CPG235, PCI DSS and NDB.
- Deep understanding of data management concepts, including data quality, metadata management, and master data management.
- Excellent collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical audiences
- Exceptional skills in building partnerships across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence cultural change in large organisations and ability to align data management and literacy initiatives with business strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively across different teams and departments. Strong stakeholder management skills with proven track record of developing and delivering enterprise data literacy programs.
