Job Description
Vietnam Pho Pho restaurant is looking for one (1) experienced chef/cook who wants to work in a contemporary kitchen which incorporates both high volume and quality. It's essential that you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are able to work quickly, whilst taking pride in making authentic, wholesome dishes. The food has a contemporary Vietnamese influence with an emphasis on regional ingredients and produce from our region.
The restaurant has earned a great reputation with both locals and visitors. You must possess at least two-year experience in Asian food and cuisine; as well as qualification III or IV in commercial cookery. Applicants must be able to work well in a team and have a great attitude towards the work.
Responsibilities
* Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
* Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
* Preparing and cooking food
* Seasoning food during cooking
* Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
* Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
* Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
* May plan menus and estimate food requirements
* May train other kitchen staff and apprentices
Ability to work under pressure, an eye for detail, maintaining a safe & hygienic work environment, and taking pride in your work is essential.
