We're seeking a seasoned Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Isaac Downs Mine in Moranbah, QLD.

About the Role
You'll be working closely with the Health & Safety Superintendent to drive a strong safety culture and support legislative compliance.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and improve safety systems, plans, and procedures
* Lead risk assessments and incident investigations (ICAM)
* Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to operational teams
* Support audits, assurance programs, and contractor compliance
* Identify trends, analyze performance, and deliver improvement initiatives
Roster: 7 on 7 off Day shift only. Enjoy a great work-life balance being only 20 minutes from Moranbah.
What We're Looking For
We need someone with solid experience in a site-based HST role (mining or heavy industry) and strong communication skills.
* Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience in a site-based HST role (mining or heavy industry)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills – you can influence and engage at all levels
* Solid understanding of QLD Coal legislation, risk management, and safety systems
Requirements:
* Standard 11 (Surface Coal Mining Induction – QLD)
* Coal Board Medical
* ICAM Lead Investigator
* Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety (or higher)
* Current QLD Driver's Licence (C Class minimum)
