About the opportunity
As a Family Lawyer at PCL Lawyers, you will play a crucial role in providing expert legal counsel and representation to clients navigating complex family law matters. Based in our Melbourne office, you will be part of a highly talented team dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients.
What you'll be doing
* Advising clients on a wide range of family law issues, including divorce, child custody, property settlements, and spousal maintenance
* Conducting thorough legal research and preparing comprehensive case strategies
* Drafting and reviewing legal documents such as separation agreements, consent orders, and parenting plans
* Collaborating with other legal professionals, such as barristers and expert witnesses, to build strong cases
* Providing compassionate and empathetic support to clients during emotionally challenging times
* Continuously expanding your knowledge of family law legislation and case law
What we're looking for
* Bachelor's degree in Law and admission to practice as a solicitor
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in family law, with a proven track record of successful case outcomes
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and find creative solutions
* Empathetic and compassionate approach when working with clients experiencing difficult personal circumstances
