Lab Technician Role
We are seeking an experienced Lab Technician to join our team in a part-time capacity. As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for performing manual and automated diagnostic testing, specimen storage and retrieval, equipment maintenance and operation, and record maintenance.
This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and protocols, as well as excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. You will work closely with other lab technicians and medical professionals to ensure accurate and timely results.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Performing manual and automated diagnostic testing
* Specimen storage and retrieval
* Equipment maintenance and operation
* Maintenance of records
* Assisting with stock control
* Requirements:
* A diploma of laboratory technology or equivalent qualification
* Previous laboratory experience, preferably in diagnostic testing
* A willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures
* Strong attention to detail and time management skills
