Due to continued growth within our Construction Services division, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Structural Mechanical Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will be required to work onsite throughout our project at Snowy Hydro 2.0, responsible for designing, analysing, and optimizing mechanical structures and systems across a range of projects. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and analyse structural mechanical systems and components
* Perform simulations and stress analysis using relevant engineering software
* Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports
* Collaborate with project managers, civil engineers, and fabrication teams
* Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction or installation
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations
* Identify opportunities for design improvements and cost efficiencies
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline
* 3+ years of experience in structural or mechanical engineering
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
* Experience with FEA tools and structural analysis methods
* Strong understanding of materials, loads, and stress factors
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
