System Administrator Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced System Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, with experience in planning, developing, installing, troubleshooting, maintaining and supporting operating systems and associated server hardware, software and databases.
The System Administrator will be responsible for leading the configuration and sustainment of Linux based ICT infrastructure, including servers and/or network devices. They will also use automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible and others to prepare and replicate system builds.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the configuration and sustainment of Linux based ICT infrastructure
* Use automation tools to prepare and replicate system builds
* Configure and sustain core services for systems
* Maintain reliability of ICT infrastructure
* Communicate with diverse stakeholder groups
* Maintain technical documentation
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong background in system administration
* Experience with Linux based ICT infrastructure
* Knowledge of automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible and others
* Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
* Technical documentation skills
* Apache NIFI Atlassian software (Jira, Confluence etc)
* System Software Administration (SYSP 3)
* Application Support (ASUP 3)
* System Integration and Build (SINT 2)
* Infrastructure Operations (ITOP 2)
* Scripting languages such as Python or Bash
