About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, you will lead a small reporting team and take ownership of all audit and financial compliance activities. A key focus of this role is strengthening internal controls, preparing audit‑ready financial information, and overseeing the full external audit process from end to end.
You’ll also ensure the delivery of accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting, while continuously improving the organisation’s financial governance, systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities Audit & Compliance (Primary Focus)
* Lead the preparation and coordination of the annual external audit
* Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks and audit readiness
* Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and legislative requirements
* Liaise with auditors and provide clear, accurate supporting documentation
Financial Reporting
* Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
* Oversee year‑end processes and statutory reporting
* Support budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting
* Lead and mentor a small financial reporting team
Continuous Improvement
* Identify and implement improvements across systems, reporting processes and controls
* Drive higher standards of accuracy, transparency and financial discipline
About You
* CA/CPA qualified
* Proven experience managing external audits and compliance processes
* Strong technical accounting knowledge and sound commercial judgement
* Confident engaging with stakeholders and auditors
* Comfortable leading small teams and improving finance processes
* A practical, collaborative and solutions‑focused working style
