Role Description
The ideal candidate will be Sydney, New South Wales, Australia based.This is a full-time hybrid role allowing for a mix of on-site and work from home.They will have an ability to create and maintain an efficient system of operation to support the business needs - primarily manage, operate and contribute to the design of high end touring programmes both domestically and internationally. The candidate should be comfortable working with budgets, spreadsheets and formulas and, most importantly, have an exceptional attention to detail. The candidate will be able to effortlessly multitask and work cross-functionally with different departments. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in tourism logistics / travel planning and a genuine passion for travel and its design.The position would also suit an experienced travel agent with a passion for travel planning who is looking to stay in the industry but may wish to move away from dealing with clients
The Operations Coordinator will manage day-to-day operational tasks, ensuring smooth execution of journeys and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include coordinating travel logistics, liaising with suppliers and tourism partners, performing administrative duties, and ensuring operational efficiency of tour programmes they are tasked to manage and operate from inception through to conclusion. The role plays a vital part in maintaining the highest standards of service synonymous with Bill Peach Journeys.
Qualifications
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office especially Excel
* Strong skills in managing operational requirements and administrative assistance to manage logistics, schedules, and day-to-day tasks effectively
* Strong abilityto multitask, prioritise effectively, and work independently in a hybrid work environment
* Comfortable working with multiple groups within business
* Excellent written communication and grammar
* Excellent personal communication and customer service skills to interact with suppliers, Journey Directors and team members professionally and courteously
* Proficiency in leveraging analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, optimise processes, and contribute to operational improvements
* Familiarity with the travel industry is a plus
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Tourism, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
