Position Profile
The objective of the Breast Care Nurse position, funded by the McGrath Foundation under the Breast Cancer Nurses Initiative is to improve the quality and continuity of care and support provided to clients diagnosed with breast cancer across the continuum of care.
To be successful, you will have...
Act as a Breast Cancer resource person for staff and patients and their significant others throughout the region.
* Provides clinical breast cancer nursing knowledge and case management within the WACHS region.
* Demonstrates leadership and role modelling.
* Promotes maintenance of clinical standard setting and monitoring, policy development and change management as required to improve the breast cancer patient's management.

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at eligible locations. Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months. Area Profile
The Pilbara is WA's second most northern region, defined by the Indian Ocean to the west and the Northern Territory border to the east. The Kimberley Region lies to its north across the Great Sandy Desert and the Pilbara's southern reaches border the Midwest and Goldfields regions. The region covers a total area of 507,896sq km (including offshore islands). Most of the inhabitants are in the western third, whereas the eastern third is largely desert with few inhabitants. Today the Pilbara economy is crucial to the State, providing 2 of the State's largest export revenue earners – iron ore and liquefied natural gas.
