Supporting the Approval documents preparation and ensuring compliance with environmental regulation and sustainability goals.Key responsibilities;Develop surface water management plans for mines, including both process and non-process infrastructure.Build and maintain water models to identify, assess, and mitigate water-related risks to operational and greenfield mining assets, including critical safety infrastructure.Provide expert advice on mine dewatering, water supply planning, and the management of ground and surface water systems.Contribute technical input and assessments for mining proposals and regulatory submissions.Support and assist in the planning and execution of hydrological field programs, including monitoring network design and data collection activities.Manage, analyse, and report on hydrological and environmental monitoring data to inform operational decisions and ensure regulatory compliance.Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on water management goals and obligationsWhat is requiredA recognised tertiary degree in civil engineering or a scientific degree majoring in water management or a related field. A postgraduate degree will be highly regarded.Relevant experience in open-cut mining hydrological and hydraulic modelling & technical services (desirable).TUFLOW model development experience, ideally in mine watermanagement.Sound computer skills with industry-standard hydrological, hydraulic and geospatial software like RORB, HEC-HMS, QGIS, ArcGIS, Global Mapper, or similar.Assisting the senior engineering staff in managing projects.Demonstrated competency in pressurised system modelling using specialised softwares (e.g. WaterGEMS, EPANET, or equivalent) is highly regarded.About Mineral ResourcesMinRes is a leading diversified resources company with extensive operations in lithium, iron ore, energy and mining services across Western Australia.
