About The Role
Step into a pivotal role at the forefront of Australia's cyber defence landscape. As a Pre‐Sales Engineer, you will shape advanced Managed Defence and Response solutions for a diverse range of organisations—including corporate enterprises, tertiary education, government, critical infrastructure, federal agencies, and defence partners. You will report to the Executive Director – Customer Solutions and collaborate closely with Customer Directors, Account Managers, and leaders across our Managed Security Services (MSS) practice, operations, and delivery teams. Your work will sit at the dynamic intersection of presales strategy, solution architecture, and the evolution of our managed services portfolio. What You'll Do
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
* Leading the development of proposals for CyberCX managed solutions to major and strategic customer accounts.
* Developing and articulating the vision that underpins each solution and presenting to customers.
* Scoping and designing technical security solutions, including SIEM platforms (e.g. Microsoft Sentinel, Palo Alto Networks XSIAM, Splunk and Crowdstrike), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions (e.g. Microsoft, PAN, CrowdStrike), Vulnerability scanning and management solutions (e.g. Tenable, Qualys), Threat intelligence, cloud security, data protection, CASB, IDAM and other cyber security technologies.
* Develop proposals and bids for both technical and executive audiences, tailored to customer requirements.
* Designing, developing, and evolving the architecture, scoping, positioning, packaging, and pricing of Managed Security Services offerings.
* Leading customer presentations and producing high‐quality solution documentation in partnership with professional services teams.
* Coaching and mentoring other CyberCX solution architects.
* Actively collaborating across CyberCX to identify opportunities to add value, improve outcomes, and strengthen cross‐practice engagement.
What You'll Bring
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate their capability from any of several areas:
* A tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline (preferred).
* Specialisation in specific cyber security solutions or platforms, supported by relevant vendor certifications (highly regarded: Microsoft, PAN, Splunk, Crowdstrike).
* Strong commercial acumen with experience in solution selling and go‐to‐market engagement.
* Experience collaborating with Customer team and Account Managers.
* Proven ability to mentor and coach peers.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility with customers, senior leaders and internal teams.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills, with the ability to design sustainable, scalable solutions to complex operational challenges.
