The iconic Burleigh Heads Hotel is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Sous Chef to join our kitchen leadership team. We are a high-volume, fast-paced beachfront venue and we need a professional who excels at managing a busy line while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
Previous experience in a similar large-scale bistro venue is essential. As a Senior Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in leading the team, managing stock and ensuring seamless service during our peak periods. A day in the life of a Senior Sous Chef:
You'll be a key part of the leadership team, supporting the Head Chef to ensure every service is flawless.

Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
About you:
You've got solid experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume pub or similar setting.
Your cooking credentials and food safety certifications are up-to-date.
You're a natural-born leader who commands respect with your skills and cool-headed approach.
You have a serious love for creating delicious food that keeps people coming back for more.
