THE ROLE
Position: Operations Officer
Employment Type: Permanent Part Time 0.8 FTE (30.4 hours per week)
Commencement: Immediate start
POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Operations Officer provides administrative and operational support to the Facilities and Services Manager to ensure the efficient day-to-day functioning of the School's facilities, grounds, and transport services.
The role is responsible for coordinating maintenance requests, supporting transport scheduling and communications, maintaining accurate records, and liaising with contractors, staff, and families to assist in the smooth delivery of services.
Working within established procedures, the Operations Officer contributes to a safe, organised, and well-maintained environment through strong attention to detail, effective communication, and timely administrative support across operational activities.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Demonstrated ability to effectively support team operations, contribute to team performance, and collaborate productively with colleagues.
* Strong organisational, planning, and coordination skills to support operational activities.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, contractors, volunteers, and community members.
* High-level time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* A commitment to continuous improvement, sustainability, and innovation in facilities management.
* Personal pride in work quality, attention to detail, and maintaining high presentation standards.
* Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Experience monitoring expenditure and supporting budget tracking.
* Competence in the use of technology and maintenance systems.
* General software proficiency and technology competence for operational support systems.
Previous experience in a similar school environment is desirable. The successful applicant will need to enjoy working in a changing work environment, display initiative and deliver quality work.
A minimum of 3-5 years of administrative or operational support experience is required for this position.
