Our client is a leading Engineering company that specialises in offering various engineering services across the mining/resources sector. Due to embarking in new machine technology for fabrication projects, they are looking to appoint a Senior Payroll Officer to join their professional team. This position is being offered on a full‑time, permanent basis with an immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monthly Payroll Tax Reporting
* Quarterly Superannuation lodgements
* Quarterly Construction Long Service Leave lodgement
* Assisting as needed in manual processing of all timesheets on a weekly basis, requiring timesheets to be interpreted and entered as per Enterprise Agreement (EA)
* Reporting to the Financial Controller
* Offering support to the Payroll Team as needed
To be successful in this role:
* Previous Payroll Experience
* Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office
* Highly organised manner with excellent time management, attention to detail
* High level of initiative
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to be dynamic, flexible, and adaptable in a fast‑paced environment.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and sustain relationships.
* A strong interest and passion in a growth industry.
* A willingness to work collaboratively within a team and across other departments.
