Reporting to the Head of TV product division this role will oversee and take ownership of several categories in our TV division portfolio, driving growth, profitability and innovation across multiple ranges.

**In this role you'll be responsible for**:
- ** Commercial Focus**: As a Junior Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing several product categories with a strong commercial focus. You will analyse market trends, monitor competition, and identify opportunities to drive sales and profitability. You will also provide key administrative and operational support to the Head of TV in managing the TV portfolio
- ** Buying and Negotiation**: You will be responsible for sourcing and procuring products from suppliers at competitive prices. Your negotiation skills will be crucial in securing favourable terms, including pricing, payment terms, and exclusive deals, to maximise profitability.
- ** Inventory Management**: You will play a pivotal role in allocating capital to inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demand. You will closely monitor inventory performance, sales data, and market trends to make informed decisions regarding inventory replenishment and clearance strategies.
- ** Product Development**: Utilizing your market knowledge and customer insights, you will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to develop new and exciting products. You will identify gaps in the market, conduct market research, and work closely with suppliers to bring exclusive and in-demand products to our customers.
- ** Sales and Promotion**: You will work closely with the marketing team to develop effective strategies for promoting your portfolio. You will analyse sales data, monitor product performance, provide information and advice on product related questions, prepare and review product listings and promotional materials to drive sales growth.
**To be successful in this role, you should be**:
- A University Degree in a relevant field (Commerce, Business or similar)
- Experienced in buying, product management, supporting a Category Manager with a product range, ideally in consumer electronics or eCommerce and ready to step up to have full category ownership.
- Experienced in AV, Electronics, Appliances or genuine passion and industry knowledge of the category, within an eCommerce, Retail or FMCG environment will be highly regarded
- Private Label experience will be highly regarded, but is not essential
- Proven ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities, bringing new products to market.
- Comfortable building and maintaining effective relationships, through exceptional communication and engagement
- Highly analytical and possess commercial nous, being able to recognise opportunity and make quick decisions for the best commercial outcomes, so that we can offer market-leading pricing to our customers.
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Being agile and adaptable is key to success
- A whiz with Microsoft Excel (we're talking VLOOKUP and pivot tables, not SUM and AVERAGE - and we will test your capabilities).
- Tech savvy and able to use various IT and cloud-based tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
