About the Opportunities
We are building a talent pool of experienced Administration Support Officers and Finance Support Officers for upcoming opportunities across Melbourne metropolitan local councils. If you have previous local government experience, we want to hear from you.
Roles are typically contract or temporary assignments supporting various council departments in administration, customer service, finance, and corporate services.
Key Responsibilities
Administration Support
* General admin and clerical support across council teams
* Managing emails, phone enquiries, and customer service tasks
* Preparing documents, reports, and correspondence
* Scheduling meetings, minute-taking, and diary coordination
* Data entry and maintaining council records
Finance Support
* Processing invoices, POs, payments, and financial transactions
* Accounts payable/receivable support
* Reconciliations and financial reporting assistance
* Validating documentation and ensuring compliance
* Vendor liaison and internal finance support
Requirements
* Previous Melbourne Local Council experience is essential
* Strong admin or finance background (depending on role)
* High accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
* Confident using Microsoft Office
* Experience with council systems such as Pathway, TRIM, ECM, TechOne, Civica, SAP (highly regarded)
