As a key professional in our team, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development and implementation of culturally appropriate programs and services to enhance social and emotional wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

This challenging yet rewarding position requires an exceptional communicator with strong leadership skills, able to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and manage a team to achieve desired outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

">
* Developing and implementing effective community programs that cater to the unique needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
">
* Leading the Social and Emotional Wellbeing team to deliver on agreed outcomes and exceed expectations.
">
* Coordinating inter-program partnerships across services to drive positive change.
">
* Liaising with funding organisations, professional bodies, and other agencies to secure support and resources.
">
* Staying abreast of current issues related to social and emotional wellbeing through regular attendance at conferences, seminars, and community events.
">
* Monitoring service delivery against prepared KPIs to ensure continuous improvement.
">

Required Skills and Qualifications

">

To be successful in this role, you will require:

">
">
* A minimum Certificate IV in a field related to individual and/or group work, such as Community Services, Youth Work, Welfare, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
">
* Proven leadership and management skills, including program implementation and staff management.
">
* An analytical mindset with high conceptual skills, problem-solving ability, and experience researching relevant topics.
">
* The ability to think critically and proactively, with a focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for clients.
">
* Knowledge and understanding of child protection requirements, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and culturally safe approaches.
">
* Understanding of the issues and barriers impacting the safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
">
* Knowledge and understanding of funding agreements, sector trends, and evidence-based practices.
">
* Knowledge of Closing the Gap initiatives.
