The role of a Home Care Employee is varied and offers flexible work hours. We have positions available for both Home Care Employee (Qualified) and (Unqualified) candidates. For those interested in building a career, there are many opportunities to gain valuable on-the-job experience while studying your passion for providing quality care to the elderly in your community.
Key Responsibilities
* Personal Care : Assist with daily tasks such as grooming, bathing, dressing, and hygiene to ensure clients' comfort, dignity, and well-being. (Cert III in Individual Support required)
* Household Assistance : Support clients with cleaning, meal preparation, and general household tasks to maintain a safe and tidy living environment.
* Transportation : Drive clients to medical appointments, shopping, and social activities, ensuring they can access essential services and maintain their independence.
* Social Engagement : Foster social interaction and provide companionship, offering emotional support to improve clients' quality of life and overall well-being.
To succeed in this role, you will need the following:
Essential Skills
* Effective communication skills
* An empathetic and caring approach
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Access to a fully maintained and insured vehicle
* Ability to plan and organise tasks efficiently
* Competence with smartphones and tablets, or willingness to learn
* Physical fitness, including manual handling, carrying, standing, and sitting for extended periods
Qualifications
* Qualified Home Care Employee - Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
* Unqualified positions are available for those currently studying or passionate about supporting the elderly with domestic duties
* Current First Aid Certificate and CPR, or willingness to obtain
* Current unrestricted Australian Driver’s License
