This role involves regular interaction with Service Management, the Client, internal technical teams, contractors, and the local community. The successful applicant will join the site team at our Flyers Creek Wind Farm Project in NSW to undertake tasks such as annual maintenance, retrofit works, major component exchange, and fault finding.
Job Description
The main responsibilities of this role include:
* Interpreting GE manuals, specifications, and bulletins to complete assigned tasks in accordance with GE work instructions.
* Performing and ensuring proper maintenance and fault finding of assets.
* Maintaining reports using GE's various software management tools and databases.
* Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with the organisation's JSA, LOTO, EHS, and associated policies/procedures.
* Reporting errors, violations, incidents, or problems immediately using GE reporting systems.
* Submitting enquiries to Engineering to ensure technical issues are resolved.
* Answering questions from Management, Engineering, Sourcing, and Project Teams as required.
* Making a conformance or non-conformance decision upon completion of inspections.
* Participating in an on-call roster to work weekends and nights if required or as directed by management.
* Performing high voltage switching operations according to site procedures as required.
* Familiarising yourself with and following all EHS policies and procedures applicable to the job and cooperating with GE investigations and EHS audits.
In order to be eligible for this role, you must have:
* A minimum qualification as a qualified electrician or a qualified mechanic with electrical aptitude.
* Proficiency in fault finding electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment.
* Training to an intermediate level in computer skills.
* A positive attitude and the ability to complete physically demanding tasks at heights.
* A current Australian Driver's license.
