Overview
Must have a minimum of 2 years sales experience within a small retail shop environment.
We are looking for mature, experienced Retail Shop Assistants for an immediate start, working now through to 21 December for the right person.
Mrs Claus is looking for people that are committed and willing to work in a small family-owned, extremely busy retail shop workplace. You must be able to work as a team member and also alone, and you also need to be self-motivated and not shy.
This is not a “Christmas Casual” position for someone still at school, as you will be required to work during daytime retail shop hours (9.00am – 5.00pm) starting in October.
You need to be able to think quickly in a very busy shop and will work with customers on all levels, not just attend the workplace.
You must have a bright, bubbly and friendly personality and be very approachable.
Responsibilities
- Interact with customers in a busy retail shop environment and provide quality customer service.
- Listen and follow instructions; communicate easily with people.
- Engage comfortably with customers and be approachable.
- Be comfortable with mathematics and able to count.
- Move quickly on your feet in a fast-paced setting.
- Be flexible with hours and able to work any day of the week, including weekends.
- Contribute as a team member and also work independently as required.
Qualifications
- Retail sales experience (not takeaway food experience).
- Ability to provide quality customer service and willingness to go the extra mile.
- Problem-solving skills; creative flair would be an advantage.
Hours and Remuneration
Hours per week vary from approximately 25–40 hours, with a minimum 3–4 days per week. You would be paid in accordance with the retail award as a casual employee.
Mrs Claus Christmas Kingdom will be open Tuesday through Saturday in October and Tuesday through Sunday in November and December, finishing on 21 December.
