Pay: From $40 per hour depending on experience
Two professional families in the Willoughby/Kirribilli area of Sydney are seeking an experienced and nurturing nanny to assist in the care of their children. Family 1 has 2 boys (2 yr old and 10 month old) and family 2 has a 16 month old).
Normal days: 5 days per week
Days and hours: 2 days with the family in Kirribilli (Mon, Tues) and then 3 days with the family in Willoughby (Wed, Thurs) with Fridays rotating fortnightly between the two families. Monday - Friday 8/9am - 5pm
An ideal nanny would be warm, fun, caring and responsive. A nanny that is also friendly, happy and interested to actively engage/play and in indoor and outdoor activities with the children which will aid in their growth and development, but equally happy to hold boundaries with behaviour if required.
The families are looking for someone who is organised, trustworthy, responsible and reliable and is able to care for the children throughout the day and follow routines.
Prior experience/professional qualifications working with multiple children is highly advantageous for this role.
The 2 yr old will be starting preschool in April - 2 days per week so some afternoon pick ups may be required.
Parents will be working from their home office.
Responsibilities
* To care for the children
* Follow the children s routine
* Play and engage age appropriate activities to assist in the children s development
* Take the children out for walks/to the park/playground and to local playgroups
* Light household duties - duties might include, putting on and hanging out a wash of the children s clothes, helping children tidy up their room/lounge room end of day, running and unstacking dishwasher if needed, vacuuming lounge/dining/kitchen if needed throughout the day
* Cook easy meals and snacks for the children throughout the day
Family Expectations
* 3+ years of experience as a nanny or working in child care
* Childcare qualifications preferred but not essential
* Have a current first aid certificate
* Have a current Working With Children s Check
* Display solid communication skills and speaks English
* Fit, healthy and active
* Non smoking
* Full drivers license and clean driving record
