We are now seeking a confident, enthusiastic Safety Officer who shares our values of Think Sharp, Dig In and Care to join our high-performing team. Reporting to the Safety Coordinator, you will provide technical safety expertise and support the implementation and delivery of continuous safety improvement initiatives across site.
About The Role
Work closely with operational leaders to provide technical safety advice and drive improved safety performance across HVOPromote a proactive safety culture by engaging with site personnel, encouraging safety awareness and supporting safety initiativesProvide coaching and guidance on site-based safety procedures and systemsParticipate in incident investigations and Promote a proactive safety culture by engaging with site personnel, encouraging safety awareness and supporting safety initiativesParticipate in the risk management processes across HVOAnalyse safety data, identify trends and prepare department specific safety performance reportsConduct and support site assurance and verification activities

About You
Qualifications in Work, Health and Safety;Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsHigh emotional intelligence and the ability to build effective working relationshipsStrong computer literacyStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesThe ability to work both independently and as part of a teamExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads, projects and conflicting priorities to achieve competing deadlinesA genuine passion for safety and delivering resultsA positive, authentic approach with the ability to influence and inspire others
