About the Role
We have an amazing opportunity for a Junior Lawyer with prior personal injury law experience to join our growing team in Dandenong. This role is suited for a junior lawyer looking to build confidence managing personal injury matters within a supportive boutique practice.
You will work closely with senior practitioners on a diverse range of personal injury matters, progressing files from intake through to resolution. You will receive tailored supervision and mentorship in a firm known for its strong working culture, competitive remuneration and hands on exposure that accelerates both technical development and client facing skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a caseload of personal injury matters under supervision, including:
* Motor vehicle accident claims
* Work Cover matters
* Public liability claims
* Conducting client intake interviews and providing clear, empathetic advice.
* Liaising with clients, barristers, medical experts, insurers, and other stakeholders.
* Reviewing and analysing medical records, liability material, and expert reports.
* Assisting with dispute resolution, mediations, and conferences.
* Briefing counsel and instructing at hearings where appropriate.
* Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and procedural timeframes.
* Maintaining accurate file notes and time recording.
* Working as part of a high-energy and driven team.
About You
* Admitted to practice in Victoria.
* Prior experience in personal injury law is essential
* Sound understanding of relevant personal injury legislation and procedures
* Strong drafting, legal research, and analytical skills
* Confident communicator with a professional and empathetic client manner
* Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
* Proactive, organised, and keen to learn
* Strong attention to detail
