Casual Medical Receptionist | Bupa Medical - Townsville Urgent Care Clinic
Urgent Care Clinic is open from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm; you must be prepared to cover these shifts.
As our Medical Receptionist, you will be the warm, professional voice that greets patients when they need care most. You'll create calm out of chaos, turn anxious moments into reassuring experiences, and keep the Healthcare Centre running smoothly.
What you'll need to make it possible
* Previous GP Medical Receptionist experience.
* Best Practice experience is advantageous.
* Greet patients and visitors in a professional, friendly manner, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure.
* Register new patients and update existing patient information accurately in the clinic's system.
* Manage appointment bookings efficiently, coordinating with medical staff to schedule consultations, tests, and follow‐up appointments.
* Assist in processing payments, health insurance claims, and billing inquiries, ensuring accurate documentation and confidentiality.
* Ensure the reception area is kept clean, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies.
* Monitor inventory and request supplies as needed.
* Demonstrate a high level of teamwork, support, engagement and communication with the general practice nursing team.
