Our client is an established energy solutions business is seeking a technically strong and customer-focused Technical Support Engineer to support advanced battery energy storage systems (BESS) deployed across the Residential and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) market.
The Opportunity
With strong growth across solar and storage, the business requires a hands‐on technical specialist to support installers, EPCs, and project teams through design validation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and ongoing technical advisory. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product expertise, and customer support. The role would be ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working directly with technical stakeholders, and being part of a rapidly evolving energy transition sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide pre‐sales and post‐sales technical support for battery energy storage systems
* Review and validate system designs, schematics, and integration approaches
* Support commissioning activities (remote and occasional on‐site)
* Troubleshoot system performance issues and provide technical resolutions
* Deliver technical training to installers, EPCs, and partners
* Develop technical documentation, installation guides, and best‐practice standards
* Liaise with global manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve complex issues
* Support compliance with Australian standards and grid requirements
About You
* Engineering qualification (Electrical, Power Systems, Renewable Energy or similar)
* Experience with battery energy storage systems, inverters, or power electronics
* Strong understanding of solar + storage integration
* Familiarity with Australian electrical standards and grid connection requirements
* Confident communicator able to engage with installers, engineers, and commercial stakeholders
* Solutions‐focused, structured, and highly responsive
