About the role :
Join Aurizon’s CFO & Strategy division as a Finance Lead – Corporate & Support, partnering with the business to drive strategic financial outcomes across the Group. Reporting to the Finance Manager – Corporate, Support & Capital, you’ll lead a small team and work closely with senior stakeholders across centralised business units to deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting. You’ll champion continuous improvement, embed best‑practice processes and deliver insights that drive performance within a complex ASX‑listed environment.
Key responsibilities :
- Lead and mentor a team to deliver high‑quality, timely financial partnering and reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and effectiveness of finance partnering services provided to key stakeholders.
- Provide financial oversight and advice to support planning, reporting and budgeting including multi‑year budget and periodic forecasts.
- Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non‑financial stakeholders.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to provide decision support, financial analysis, and insights.
About you :
You’ll bring a strong foundation in finance partnering and proven leadership capability, ideally gained in a complex corporate environment. You thrive on problem‑solving, collaborating across teams, and lifting the performance and capability of those around you.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (mandatory).
- CPA or CA qualification (mandatory).
- Minimum 5 years’ multidiscipline finance experience including leading a team of similar size.
- Financial literacy, modelling and analytical skills to provide highly relevant insights into business performance.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting and budgetary processes and procedures, particularly in relation to financial systems and business processes for a large organisation.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision‑making skills.
