Job Description
As one of the Ladies and Gentlemen of The Ritz‑Carlton, you are the most important asset in our service commitment to our guests. The Food and Beverage Attendant provides exceptional service across a variety of food and beverage operations such as in‑room dining, lounge and bar. This versatile role requires a high level of flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively to ensure a top‑notch experience for all guests.
* Greet and engage guests in a friendly, professional manner.
* Take and process food and beverage orders, offer recommendations, and address guest inquiries or concerns.
* Ensure prompt, accurate service with high standards of presentation.
* Monitor inventory, assist with ordering and restocking, and rotate stock to reduce waste and ensure freshness.
* Polish cutlery and other items to maintain cleanliness and quality.
* Collaborate with kitchen, bar, housekeeping, and front‑of‑house teams to ensure smooth operations.
* Attend staff meetings and training sessions as needed.
* Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, and report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
Lounge Service
* Provide service in the lounge area, including preparing and serving beverages and light snacks as well as the iconic Ritz‑Carlton High Tea offerings.
* Maintain a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring the lounge area is clean and well‑stocked.
* Assist with setting up and breaking down events or meetings in the lounge area.
* Maintain reservations and booking across Seven rooms.
* Create and deliver cocktail and wine service.
* Late‑night availability is essential (shifts may end at midnight). Please factor in transportation when planning schedules.
About You
* An up‑to‑date Victorian RSA.
* Relevant experience in a similar role.
* Barista skills highly regarded.
* Basic wine knowledge highly regarded.
* Ability to prepare essential cocktails.
* Working rights in Australia.
* Proficient in English and confident in delivering storylines to guest.
* Enthusiastic to accelerate your career.
* Self‑motivated, driven and energized in a fast‑paced environment.
