As a Bid Writer within the ANZ Growth team of Nova Systems Australia and New Zealand (NS ANZ), you will utilise your writing experience to produce compelling, client focused proposals and bids with an emphasis on accuracy and quality.
You will collaborate with our subject matter experts to produce winning proposals, in response to complex EOIs, RFIs and RFTs, in both Defence and commercial sectors.
You will translate technical and strategic information into clear, persuasive narratives and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to meet tender-gate processes, timelines, and quality standards. This includes participating in solution workshops managing inputs, reviewing submissions, and ensuring all content aligns with brand, format, and compliance requirements.
Key Accountabilities
The key responsibilities of the role include:
* Participate in internal workshops to develop proposal document outlines, storyboards and mock-ups.
* Collaborate with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop compliant, customer focused and compelling proposal content that incorporates the agreed bid win strategy.
* Collate and write content to produce persuasive proposals that win business
* Support SMEs with incorporating feedback from colour reviews (pink, red and gold).
* Proofread and edit documents to improve clarity, grammar, structure and format, and ensure documents are written with one voice.
* Liaise with other team members on the production and management of multimedia material to support the proposal.
* Assist the assigned Bid Manager during production to complete and submit final bid responses
* Support client-facing activities including preparing presentations.
Essential requirements
* Experience in writing responses for large and complex bids, preferably within defence, engineering, professional services or similar industry.
* Excellent written communication skills with impeccable attention to detail and ability to succinctly convey complex technical information and key messages.
* Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to autonomously engage with multiple stakeholders across all levels of the business to gather input for proposals.
* High level of proficiency in MS Office Suite, with an advanced level of proficiency in MS Word.
* Experience in maintaining and publishing content in a knowledge library, such as Microsoft SharePoint.
* Australian Citizen.
* Hold a current NV1 clearance or have the ability to maintain an NV1 clearance.
Desirable requirements
* Experience in using Artificial Intelligence tendering packages to assist and support proposal development, or a strong willingness in becoming proficient in the use of these packages.
* APMP Certification or Shipley training.
* Experience with ASDEFCON suite.
