About the Position
We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee conference logistics and execution. As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and delivering various conference elements relating to logistics.
Responsibilities:
* Oversight of operational delivery of all logistics elements across complex in-person conferences including project management, financial management, staff planning, and stakeholder management.
* Management of conference budgets with direct responsibility for all costs associated with logistics delivery.
* Production of accurate monthly forecasts and effective expense management.
* Leadership on cost negotiations, proposals, contracting, and terms and conditions for suppliers.
* Onsite leadership at conferences including management of the production schedule, conference staff, and liaison with agency partners and vendors.
* Collaboration with key conference partners and team members to ensure successful conference execution.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred.
* 5+ Years event management experience.
* Proven event operational skills including production schedules, budget management, and event staffing.
* Project management experience on detailed programs with multiple variables and dependencies.
* Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills especially with senior level professionals, cross-functionally, and with agency partners.
