The Opportunity
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Instructional and Usability Designer to assist our library function in developing high quality digital learning experiences from our Penrith campus
As an Instructional and Usability Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital learning experience for Western Sydney University students. Working within the Library, you will design and deliver high-quality online learning resources that are inclusive, accessible, and grounded in evidence-based instructional design principles.
What Success Looks Like:
Use a range of established and emerging technologies to design engaging, accessible, and inclusive learning resources tailored to diverse student cohorts.
Analyse student feedback and usage data to inform evidence-based improvements and ensure continuous enhancement of library learning materials.
Collaborate with library teams to ensure learning resources meet high standards of quality, professionalism, and pedagogical integrity.
Support the scalability and sustainability of library online learning resources by promoting consistent design standards, reusable content models, and collaborative development practices.

About You
Relevant work experience in learning or instructional design.
Higher education experience is highly regarded but not required for success in this role.
Proficiency with Adobe Suite, H5P, Articular, Camtasia and with coding languages (HTML, XML, Flash and SCORM) will be an advantage.
Friendly communicational style with an ability to work collaboratively.
Proactive approach to stakeholder management with a willingness to ask questions.
