Ventia is seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Manager to join our Rigs and Wells Services team. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, this role is pivotal in driving strategic and operational commercial excellence across our portfolio. This is a full-time permanent position which offers hybrid working conditions and flexibility to ensure a good work life balance.

About The Role
As the Commercial Manager, you will provide strategic and operational commercial advice and lead front end commercial reviews and assessments for all new and major renewal opportunities, manage head contract engagement, and drive cost reduction and performance analysis.
Responsibilities
You will be instrumental in shaping our commercial strategies, ensuring governance, and enhancing client relationships. You must work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders including clients, subcontractors and consultants. Responsibilities include:
Operational & Strategic
* Oversee daily commercial and contractual operations
* Develop commercial strategies
* Prepare commercial assessments of opportunities against business-critical risks and commercial limits
* Review tender documentation and contracts for all new contracts and or major renewal contracts prepare Commercial Tender Strategy in accordance with Work Winning procedures
* Lead commercial governance, risk management and dispute resolution
Financial
* Implement cost reduction and margin improvement initiatives
* Maximise revenue streams and minimise leakage
* Produce commercial reports to support project performance
People & Culture
* Act as a change agent and support transformation
* Build and lead a high performing commercial team
* Foster a collaborative, customer centric culture
Customer Engagement
* Strengthen client relationships and identify new business opportunities
* Develop, risk assess and negotiate commercial models
* Deliver innovative, tailored commercial to achieve client needs
Required Skills And Experience
The successful candidate should have solid commercial management experience from a maintenance, construction, infrastructure or energy environment.
* Tertiary qualifications (Business, Law, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management and the like)
* Solid experience in commercial activities
* Strong understanding of contract and construction law
* Proven ability to deliver commercial outcomes
* Strategic thinking with a customer first mindset
* Excellent negotiation, leadership and communication skills
