**The Opportunity**:
The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is seeking high-performing Assistant Directors across multiple sections of the Corporate Operations Branch (COB).
The Assistant Director, Accessibility Projects and Support, leads the coordination of the department's role in the Set the Standard Report and the Dignified Access and User Experience of Parliament House Review. This role also supports broader departmental strategies and initiatives focused on culture and inclusion.
The Assistant Director, Parliamentary and Governance, ensures the department meets its parliamentary and corporate governance obligations. This includes managing the delivery of the Corporate Plan and Annual Report, parliamentary coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
The Assistant Director, Governance and Secretariat, oversees compliance with legislative and governance requirements, including parliamentary coordination, audit and risk management, and secretariat support for internal governance committees. This role also ensures effective records management and policy consistency within the section.

Under limited/general direction undertake duties in accordance with the agreed standards for the Parliamentary Executive Level 1 classification - Assistant Director, Governance and Secretariat. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Monitor compliance with legislative and governance responsibilities managed by the Parliamentary and Governance section (the section). This includes parliamentary coordination, audit and risk management, Internal Audit, corporate publications, business continuity planning, risk and fraud and corruption requirements.
2. Perform secretariat responsibilities for various internal governance committees including developing and monitoring forward work programs and timelines, terms of references, agendas and preparation of meeting Minutes.
3. Ensure effective records management responsibilities of the section including action item registers to ensure effective and timely completion of items and appropriate records of decisions.
4. Maintain policies and procedures of the section by establishing and following a schedule, ensuring consistency and arranging appropriate consultation and clearance.
5. Build and maintain effective internal working relationships with stakeholders and attend relevant meetings and forums. Provide guidance and advice on governance responsibilities and meeting procedures and requirements.
6. Actively contribute to team culture and leadership to achieve quality and timely outcomes.
