The Company This is an opportunity to join a large and well-established organisation operating in a highly regulated, project-based environment with a strong focus on sustainability. The in-house legal team plays an active role in the business, working closely with operational and project teams rather than simply reviewing matters at the end of the process. The Role This newly created opportunity is due to an internal promotion. Working across a large, established in-house function of ex big firm lawyers, you will provide legal support across a variety of commercial and operational matters. The role has a contracts focus, key responsibilities will include: • Drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts • Advising on procurement arrangements and supplier agreements • Supporting projects from a contractual and risk management perspective • Providing clear, practical advice to internal stakeholders • Assisting with governance, compliance and policy matters This role offers strong exposure to the commercial and operational side of the organisation, with legal involved early in key projects and initiatives. About You You are a commercial lawyer with 3–9 years’ post-admission experience, trained in a reputable corporate or commercial practice. You will bring: • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills • Experience advising on commercial agreements and supplier arrangements • Confidence working directly with stakeholders and counterparties • An ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice You will enjoy working collaboratively and being involved in the commercial decision-making process within an organisation.
