The role
Overview
Position: Administration Officer Level 2 (Ward Clerk). Employment type: permanent full time, 38 hours per week. Location: Bankstown Hospital. Remuneration: $61,879.91 - $63,932.61 per annum.
The Ward Clerk provides administrative support to inpatient departments, handling enquiries, maintaining clinical records, and supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. They contribute to a positive, efficient work environment, uphold privacy and confidentiality standards, and support continuous improvement in patient services.
Responsibilities
- Provide front‐line administrative and support services to inpatient departments.

Qualifications
- Proven ability to successfully interact with people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills applied to a customer service environment.
- Highly developed ability to plan, prioritise and organise work activities to achieve outcomes within deadlines.
- Demonstrated attention to detail with a very high level of accuracy when working with a range of computer systems and processes.
- Proven ability to work independently and as a team member to achieve quality service outcomes.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and processes.
Legal Requirement
To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.
