1. Senior Approvals Advisor – Permanent
About the Role
The Senior Approvals Advisor will lead major approvals processes, permitting, EA amendments, and regulatory engagement for the operation. This position is suited to a senior environmental professional with strong experience in Queensland approvals and the ability to manage complex regulatory pathways.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and coordinate environmental approvals, permitting and EA amendments.
* Manage environmental aspects of operational changes, projects, and compliance obligations.
* Liaise with regulators, consultants and internal stakeholders on approvals strategy.
* Support long-term planning, risk assessments and environmental management frameworks.
* Guide the business through evolving regulatory requirements and compliance expectations.
You Bring
* Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Engineering (or similar).
* Proven experience in environmental approvals within mining or heavy industry.
* Strong understanding of Queensland legislation and approvals pathways.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and report writing skills.
2. Senior Environmental Advisor – 12–24 Month Contract
About the Role
The Senior Environmental Advisor will support day-to-day environmental compliance, monitoring programs, and operational environmental management. This is an integral role within site operations and is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on environmental work in an active mining environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver environmental monitoring for water, air/dust, waste, biodiversity and rehabilitation.
* Manage compliance obligations and prepare statutory reports.
* Provide environmental advice to operations, processing and mining teams.
* Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
* Maintain environmental databases and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
You Bring
* Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related field.
* Experience in environmental compliance within mining or heavy industry.
* Knowledge of Queensland environmental regulation and EA requirements.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
