An exciting opportunity for a Chef or Cook has opened up. The role sits within our existing team to assist in the efficiency of the kitchen.
What you would be doing
Brief outline of Duties
* Prepare, season and cook food as directed,
* meeting dietary requirements where required
* Follow recipes and presentation specifications
* Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
* Clean and organise kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations
* Ensure consistency and quality of dishes during busy service periods
* Manage and maintain food safety plans, OH&S standards, and compliance documentation
* Hold valid Food Safety Supervisor certification to oversee all food safety compliance requirements
* Oversee ordering, stock control, rostering (Deputy), and supplier relationships
* Monitor and manage COGs, food & labour costs, and kitchen budgets
* Deliver outstanding time management across preparation and service
* Collaborate with the Head Chef

* Able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and public holidays
* Experience in a similar role & cuisine
* Creative, and passionate about food
* Exceptional high standards of food service & presentation
* Positive attitude and ability to thrive under pressure with high volume
Requirements:
* At least a relevant Diploma qualification plus two years of full time post-qualification experience in the relevant position;
* OR at least 3 -4 years of experience as a Chef/Cook
* A Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery
