About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior Experience Designer with demonstrated experience in global fintech products to join our team. This is a hybrid role blending hands-on UX execution with strategic influence across product development, design governance and customer engagement. You’ll envision concepts, create and supervise interactive prototypes, visual design systems and presentation material to convey our way of thinking to our clients and partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead UX design initiatives for web and mobile platforms.
* Contribute strategically to product roadmaps and define, socialise and uphold the creative vision.
* Collaborate with product, engineering, and executive teams to align design with business objectives.
* Lead and execute on user research, testing and user journey iterations.
* Facilitate (onsite) design thinking workshops and strategic definition sessions to create understanding and set scope with clients and stakeholders.
* Draw actionable insights from user research, data analytics and behavioral patterns to understand and anticipate user needs.
* Turn insights into wireframes, interactive prototypes or other media through which you articulate strategic design decisions with a compelling narrative.
* Mentor designers and promote best practices in the field of experience design.
Key Requirements
* 10+ years of experience in user-centric design, of which at least 4 years in a leadership capacity.
* Background in international fintech or financial services products.
* Track record of successful design contributions to pitches and RFP responses.
* The ability to strip complex challenges down to their essence and solution ways to meet these challenges through different media.
* Strong interaction design portfolio showcasing strategic thinking and complex user flows.
* Ability to operate both at a strategic and executional level.
* Fully proficient with Figma including advanced prototyping and design system management features.
* Proficient with animation tools like After Effects and Lottie, with a deep understanding of microanimations in UI design.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Able to deliver accessible interfaces that meet modern usability standards.
* Knowledgeable in front-end development technologies and platform constraints.
Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Multimedia Design, HCI or related fields. A Master’s degree is preferred.
* Exposure to global markets and designing for international audiences.
* Experience with implementing and applying gamification principles.
* Able to establish and grow competencies within the organisation.
* Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2).
* Expert in design thinking and service design methodologies.
* Excels in dealing with ambiguity, helping clients take their next step to success.
* Solid understanding of AI applications in design processes, implementing them responsibly.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to present complex concepts clearly to stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
* Clear commercial affinity, understanding of business metrics and the ability to articulate business value.
* Works well under pressure, able to prioritise and delegate tasks, managing time effectively.
* Self initiating problem solver who is not afraid to look and act beyond the initial scope or ask.
* Comfortable leading and contributing to new business development through pitches and presentations, using compelling narratives to prove our thorough understanding of the challenge and why we can offer the right solution.
* You have an intrinsic affinity with (personal) finance, investing and economic markets.
