About the opportunity: An exciting opportunity has become available for a Drill Core Facility Technician.
The Drill Core Facility Technician implements and maintains effective inventory and warehousing systems and controls to support the needs of the Core Library and stakeholders.
The role is required to undertake appropriate receiving, storing, retrieving, and unloading of submitted samples on a daily basis.
In addition, the role is required to provide support services including cutting and sampling of the collection material.
The Drill Core Facility Technician is also required to contribute to projects, some of which are in the field, and support Agency objectives promoting growth in exploration for the state.

Demonstrate ability to effectively and efficiently manage information and communication in a computerised environment.

Ability to exercise good attention to detail, ensuring work is timely, accurate and reliable.
Remuneration: OPS-1 / OPS-2, $55,500 - $63,154 per annum Full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week 12-month initial contract Special Conditions: This is initially a 12-month contract with a possibility of extension/ongoing contract to be offered at the end of term.
A current driver's licence is essential.
Forklift Driver's Certificate (LF) (National Accreditation) essential.
Order Picker Licence (LO) (National Accreditation) essential.
A Heavy Vehicle Licence is also desirable.
