As our Australian team expands, we're looking for an Assistant Accountant to support our growing finance function. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who's detail‑driven, dependable, and ready to play a key part in keeping our day‑to‑day operations running smoothly.
This role sits at the heart of that mission.
What You'll Do:
* Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
* Schedule and process invoice payments.
* Reconcile transactions and support month‑end reporting.
* Process and verify employee expense claims.
* Maintain accurate financial records and support general ledger tasks.
* Collaborate closely with Shield AI's US finance team.
What You'll Bring:
* Previous experience in accounts payable or general accounting support.
* Good working knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to task ownership.
* Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, cross‑border environment.
* A team player mindset and willingness to learn and grow.
* Finance or accounting qualification (completed or in progress) desirable.
