What You'll Do:
You'll work across a range of electrical maintenance and fault-finding tasks in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. You'll support critical plant equipment including motors, drives, conveyors, process lines, and automation systems — the heartbeat of Visy's Smithfield operation.
* Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on electrical and control systems.
* Diagnose and repair faults on motors, variable speed drives, and PLC-controlled machinery.
* Support process reliability and improvement initiatives across the plant.
* Collaborate with mechanical and operations teams to ensure safe, efficient performance.
* Assist with installation, testing, and upgrades of new and existing equipment.
* Accurately log maintenance work and notifications in SAP
What You'll Bring:
* Electrical trade qualification and current NSW licence.
* Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance, ideally pulp and paper, packaging, or another continuous process industry.
* Confident working with PLC systems (Rockwell and GE).
* Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting, and repair capability on AC/DC drives and control systems.
* Experience with instrumentation or automation highly regarded.
* A safety-first mindset, good communication skills, and pride in quality workmanship.
