Who we are:
The Young CMHAOD team has approximately 10 multidisciplinary clinicians and a range of support staff, who provide MH AOD services, across the life span. Young CMHAOD is collocated with Young Health Service.
We work closely with Medicare Mental Health and other community organisations to ensure people receive the right care for their needs. At a district level we have access to clinical leaders for MH, AOD and other specialty services such as Aboriginal Mental Health, eating disorders and Perinatal Infant Mental Health.

What you'll be doing:
The Mental Health Support Worker (MHSW) works within the Community Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol (MHDA) Team to competently deliver mental health and social care to and for people experiencing mental illness and or drug and alcohol issues. The MHSW will work alongside Clinicians in providing a recovery focused, person centred mental health service for people experiencing mental illness or distress, their families and carers. The scope of practice of MHSW will differ and is determined by the Team Manager based on individual support worker's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.

Criteria:
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
* Relevant qualification in Health and/or Social Care or working towards same
* Demonstrated experience working in a care giving role in a hospital or in a community setting
* NSW Working with children clearance
